Authentic Viennese Balls, featuring Waltzes and Polkas performed
by the fifty-piece Mostly Strauss Orchestra. The evening commences
with an overture, followed by a Grand March to enable the approximately
400 dancers to see and be seen by everyone. Then it's three hours
of high-energy dance music from the 19th and early-20th centuries
by the Strauss Family, Tchaikovsky, Lehar, Khachaturian, Friml,
and even Gershwin and Ellington. The dances are mostly waltzes and
polkas, but also include a smattering of Tangos and Latin numbers.
These are evenings made for people who love to dance and socialize!
Spring: The Wild Asparagus Ball
is an elegant evening of dance with a note of formality. Dance cards
are provided, but are not required.
Fall: The Wild Goose Masquerade Costume
Ball blends dancing and partying together. You are always
encouraged to wear a costume of any shape or form to the Wild Goose
Ball. You decide your own theme--whether it be vintage dance wear
or a character from Star Trek--just keep in mind that you're going
to be dancing too.
